About Us
Goldwater School in Lorraine, Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth), is an independent pre-primary, primary and high school dedicated to developing confident, capable, and caring learners from Grade R to Grade 10 (up to Grade 11 in 2027). We offer a balanced, skills-based curriculum that combines academic excellence with creativity, critical thinking, and character growth. With small classes, passionate teachers, and a nurturing environment, Goldwater inspires every child to discover their potential and thrive - both in the classroom and beyond.
Extra Murals
At Goldwater, we believe that learning extends beyond the classroom. Our vibrant extra-mural programme offers learners the opportunity to explore their interests, build teamwork skills, and develop confidence in a fun, supportive environment. Learners can join a variety of activities including our Chess Team, Baking Club, Running Club, Ball Skills, Art Club, and energetic Zumba Dance sessions. For our high school learners, we also offer exciting modern opportunities such as Interact and Esports, encouraging leadership, strategy, and digital collaboration. Through these diverse activities, every learner at Goldwater is inspired to discover their talents and grow holistically - mind, body, and spirit.

GRADE R:
A STRUCTURED SCHOOL READINESS YEAR THAT BUILDS CONFIDENCE, CURIOSITY AND ESSENTIAL LITERACY AND NUMERACY SKILLS FOR FORMAL LEARNING
FOUNDATION PHASE (GRADE 1-3):
A STRONG ACEDEMIC GROUNDING IN READING, WRITING, MATHEMATICS AND LIFE SKILLS - GUIDED BY THE CAPS CURRICULUM AND ENRICHED THROUGH PRACTICAL AND CREATIVE LEARNING
INTERMEDIATE PHASE (GRADE 4-6):
BALANCED LEARNING THAT ENCOURAGES INDEPENDENT THINKING, PROBLEM-SOLVING, AND RESPONSIBILITY ACROSS ALL CORE SUBJECTS AND ENRICHMENT AREAS
SENIOR PHASE / HIGH SCHOOL (GRADE 7-10):

What our fees include:
At Goldwater School, our Half-Day programme (7:00 - 14:30) includes both breakfast and lunch daily, offering a nurturing environment for younger learners who attend until mid-afternoon. For families requiring full-day care, our Full-Day option (7:00 - 17:30) covers breakfast, lunch, and after-care in a structured setting, ensuring peace of mind for working parents. Both options ensure that meals are provided and students are supervised in quality programs that extend beyond the standard school hours. This applies to all classes up to Grade 7.
